Professional networks and Wi-Fi

A business network is often built in layers: a switch added in a hurry, an access point placed at random, a server forgotten in a cupboard. The day the management software freezes, the whole business stops.

SADIS, a Moroccan company based in Laâyoune and Casablanca, installs and upgrades SME infrastructure: cabling, professional Wi-Fi, servers, storage, IP telephony and monitoring. It also works on software and ERP systems. When something goes wrong, you have a single point of contact.

Signs your network needs rework

Network audit and assessment

The network audit takes a real inventory of the installation: racks, switches, access points, servers, NAS, UPS units and cabling. It describes the logical architecture: addressing, network separation, Internet access and remote access.

It then measures throughput, bottlenecks and poorly covered areas. It also identifies end-of-life equipment and data that is not backed up. You receive a written report and a list of works ranked by priority. Often, reconfiguring what is already in place is enough before buying any hardware.

Cabling, VLANs and switching

You replace a switch; you rarely re-cable a building. Structured cabling connects each outlet to the patch rack, labelled and tested, with spare capacity for the future. The rack is tidy, labelled and protected by a UPS.

Switches are configured with VLAN segmentation: workstations, servers, guests, telephony, video surveillance and production each have their own network. An incident on one segment no longer spills over into the others. The rules for traffic between segments are written down and enforced.

Professional Wi-Fi 6 and 6E

Professional Wi-Fi is judged by its stability wherever people work, with the real number of users. In offices, the challenge is density. In a warehouse or factory, it is distance, metal racking and concrete.

SADIS starts from an on-site survey and places access points according to the real obstacles. Wi-Fi 6, or 6E where needed, is managed from a single console. Handheld terminals move from one access point to another without losing their session. The guest network stays separate. Vendors (Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Aruba) are chosen according to what is already installed.

Servers, storage and backup

An exposed NAS or a backup reachable from every workstation protects nothing. This work ties in with cybersecurity, including protection against ransomware.

Site interconnection and remote access

Head office, warehouse and branch need to work as a single site. SADIS connects them by VPN: management software, files and telephony travel without being exposed on the Internet. Remote staff use secure, named and revocable access, protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Depending on the size of the network, the architecture can rely on OSPF or BGP, MPLS links, an SD-WAN approach across several Internet links and quality of service (QoS) that gives priority to voice.

IP telephony

IP telephony runs over the IT network. SADIS deploys a 3CX or FreePBX IP PBX, based on the SIP protocol, with Grandstream or Yealink handsets. Calls travel on a dedicated VLAN, protected by QoS.

Upgrades without downtime

Shutting down the network for a day is not an option for a production site. A cutover plan is therefore drawn up in advance. New equipment is prepared alongside the existing setup. The cutover is done zone by zone, in the evening or at the weekend if necessary, with a rollback planned. Critical points are checked before work resumes.

Monitoring, documentation and deliverables

Monitoring detects a full disk, a failed backup or an access point dropping out before users notice. Workstation follow-up is detailed on the IT fleet maintenance page.

Every installation is delivered with as-built documentation (DOE): cabling plans, diagrams, labelling register and operating documentation. A joint acceptance report, drawn up with you, closes the works. Administrator access is opened in your company's name: you remain free to change providers.

Cabling, fibre optics and cameras are covered on the low-voltage systems and video surveillance page. A free audit of your existing setup comes before any quote.

Reference: network overhaul and Microsoft 365

An industrial company near Casablanca entrusted SADIS with overhauling its IT environment. The engagement covered a redesign of the wired network and Wi-Fi, NAS storage, monitoring and access security, followed by user training.

This foundation enabled the migration to Microsoft 365, described on the Microsoft 365 migration case study page. Before founding SADIS in Morocco, its founders spent six years on freelance assignments within large French industrial groups.

How an engagement unfolds

  1. Initial discussion about your premises, workstations and constraints.
  2. On-site audit: inventory, measurements, Wi-Fi survey and priorities.
  3. Proposal: precise scope and cutover plan.
  4. Installation in stages, with checks.
  5. Handover of plans and access in your name.
  6. Follow-up: monitoring, maintenance and upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work outside Casablanca?

Yes. The Casablanca office covers the Casablanca-Settat region, and SADIS also works in other Moroccan cities depending on the project.

Do we need to replace everything to have a reliable network?

Rarely. The audit separates what can be reconfigured from what must be replaced.

Can you cover a warehouse or factory with Wi-Fi?

Yes. Coverage is designed from an on-site survey, taking into account racking, structures and the devices in use.

Will we be able to work during the works?

The upgrade is organised to limit disruption. Equipment is prepared in parallel, the cutover is done zone by zone or outside operating hours, and critical points are checked before work resumes.

Who holds the access once the installation is complete?

Your company. Access is opened in your name and the configuration is documented.
