IT Maintenance and Asset Management
Workstations, accounts, Microsoft 365 and support: a managed IT estate, with guaranteed response times.
A computer bought each time someone joins, an email system set up by a former provider, an administrator password known to a single person: many IT estates grew this way. The day the provider stops answering, the company no longer knows what it owns.
SADIS, a Moroccan company based in Laâyoune and Casablanca, puts this estate back in order, then maintains it over time.
What IT asset management covers
- Inventory. Workstations, printers, network, storage, licences and accounts: who uses what, and in what condition.
- Workstations. Identically configured machines, joined to the directory, equipped for each role.
- Renewal. End-of-life equipment, or equipment no longer receiving security updates, is identified and replaced in time.
- Accounts and access. Every arrival, departure or change of role is handled properly.
- Backups. They exist, they run, and restoration is tested.
- Support and monitoring. Day-to-day requests are tracked, incidents detected early.
You can entrust all or part of these operations to us: this is managed IT services, within a framework defined by contract.
Taking over an existing estate
The takeover starts with a free on-site audit:
- Take stock of what exists: equipment, software, active accounts, subscriptions, domain names.
- Recover access: administrator accounts, email console, network, hosting. Everything held in a third party's name is returned to the company's name.
- Assess the risks: unpatched workstations, former employees' accounts still active, missing backups, shared passwords.
This assessment is delivered to you in writing. It belongs to you, whether or not you then work with SADIS.
Consistent workstations
A consistent estate is quick to troubleshoot. Each workstation receives the same reference configuration: operating system, security settings, core software and directory join.
During a renewal, workstations are prepared in advance, replaced in small batches, and the old ones kept until everything has been checked. Your teams' work is not interrupted.
Workstations also depend on the wired network and Wi-Fi, covered on the network and infrastructure page.
Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud
Migrating to Microsoft 365 is often the first project. Email moves to Exchange Online; OneDrive and Teams follow, as needed.
If you have an on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft Entra Connect synchronises it with Microsoft 365. This hybrid cloud gives each employee a single sign-in, and an account disabled once is disabled everywhere.
The migration follows a precise plan: mailbox inventory, message migration, scheduled cutover, on-site presence during the first days.
Account and data security
Cybersecurity for SMEs in Morocco starts with simple measures, applied everywhere:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) on email and remote access.
- Administrative rights restricted to the people who need them.
- Updates tracked, taking into account the alerts and recommendations published by the DGSSI.
- Personal data protected in accordance with Law 09-08.
Security audits, firewalls and VPNs are detailed on the cybersecurity page.
Cloud backup and disaster recovery
A backup is only as good as its restore. A NAS centralises files and automates local backups.
A cloud backup keeps an off-site copy, essential protection against ransomware, theft or fire. A disaster recovery plan then sets out what to restore first, and how.
Restores are tested during preventive visits, not on the day of the failure.
Support and monitoring
A forgotten password, a silent printer, a new hire to equip: every request is logged and tracked through to resolution.
Monitoring detects the disk that is filling up, the backup that fails or the device that no longer responds. The incident is dealt with before your teams feel it.
Software and websites
Business applications, ERPs and websites also need updates, fixes, and renewal of certificates and hosting.
SADIS maintains the tools it has developed and can host them. It also takes over tools built by others, after an audit of the code, access and hosting. The development approach is described on the custom management software page.
What the contract should specify
Whatever the provider, check these points before signing:
- Scope: the workstations, software, sites and users covered, and what is not covered.
- Contact channels and request tracking.
- Priority levels and the commitment attached to each.
- Documentation: inventory, network diagram, configurations, procedures, handed over to the client.
- Access in the client's name: accounts, subscriptions, domains and hosting belong to you.
- Reversibility: what is handed over at the end of the contract so that someone else can take over.
Our commitments under contract
- Any request acknowledged within 24 business hours, and tracked through to resolution.
- Remote intervention in under 1 hour: locked account, email out of sync, software to reinstall.
- On-site intervention in under 4 hours in Casablanca and surrounding areas, when a physical presence is needed.
- On-site intervention within 48 hours outside Casablanca, and in under 12 hours in an emergency.
- 12-month SADIS warranty on installations, with the manufacturer's warranty applying depending on the equipment.
The contract also provides for preventive visits, evening or weekend work when necessary, a written report after each intervention and the confidentiality of your data. SADIS is insured for its interventions.
Three options are available:
- Turnkey project: scoping, deployment, acceptance testing, training and 12-month warranty.
- Annual maintenance contract: long-term follow-up, with the response times above.
- Audit and advice: free audit, security audit and costed recommendations, delivered in writing.
Every service is quoted; no work starts without a signed approval.
Reference: Microsoft 365 migration
An industrial company near Casablanca, the subsidiary of a larger group, entrusted SADIS with the complete takeover of its IT. The engagement covered Microsoft 365, Entra Connect, the wired network and Wi-Fi, the workstation estate, a NAS, monitoring, access security and user training.
A single point of contact handled everything. The details are on the Microsoft 365 migration and IT asset management page.
Frequently asked questions
Can you take over an IT estate managed by another provider?
Yes. An on-site audit takes stock of equipment and accounts, recovers access in the company's name and identifies risks.
Do you maintain software you did not develop?
Yes, after an audit of the code, access and hosting. It shows what can stay as it is and what must be fixed first.
Do we need an on-premises directory to move to Microsoft 365?
No, accounts can be created directly online. If you already have an Active Directory, Entra Connect synchronises it so that everyone keeps a single sign-in.
What are your response times?
Acknowledgement within 24 business hours, remote intervention in under an hour. On site, under 4 hours in Casablanca and surrounding areas, 48 hours elsewhere in Morocco.
Do you work outside Casablanca?
Yes. The team travels when the work requires it, as it did for an industrial client near Casablanca, and provides part of the support remotely.
